Welcome to Rescue Me K9 obedience training.

 

I would be honored to have the opportunity to work with you and your dog.  My family and I have three dogs:

 

Rosie - Shepherd mix certified as a Search and Rescue K9

Ruby - Standard Poodle who is our family pet

Ava - Goldendoodle and therapy dog certified

Murphy - German Shepherd (shown) Search and Rescue dog in training

 

All of our dogs our family members.  I hope to help you make your dog as enjoyable for your family as ours are for us.

 

I have been teaching for 23 years as both an assistant and lead trainer.  My Doberman Pincher, Jasmine, and I earned our first obedience title, CD, and her Canine Good Citizen certification before she passed away in 2005.

 

My goal in obedience training is to have an enjoyable experience working with the dogs and to help teach them to be well-behaved family members.  I believe in taking a gentle approach to training so that we teach our dogs what is expected of them.  In class we will learn to use positive reinforcement, body language, voice tone, and consistent words and commands to teach your dog.

 

Outside of the dog obedience world, I have been a firefighter for 35 years and am glad to call Center Grove home.  My wife Lori and I have two boys, Carter 24 and Hayden 19.
